STUDIO A

The EVML Band and Recording Lab

Studio A is our headphone based rehearsal and recording room. Band classes, drum lessons, and group workshops take place here. Every student uses studio headphones with their own monitor mix, similar to how touring artists rehearse.

Students hear themselves clearly, stay locked in with the group, and rehearse with clean, controlled sound. All instruments run directly into the recording system, allowing us to capture short clips for in-class listening and learning. Michael uses a lav mic so students always hear clear guidance in their headphones.

Drum Lessons

Studio A also houses our immersive drum lesson setup. Students play on high quality Roland electronic kits and hear detailed drum tones through professional sample libraries like Superior Drummer. Both kits are patched into the system so Michael can instantly demonstrate grooves and ideas. The focus is on timing, feel, technique, and musical motivation.

Studio A gives students a true modern studio experience in a focused, supportive environment.

STUDIO B

The EVML Creator Studio

Studio B is the private lesson and content creation room. This is where guitar, bass, songwriting, voice, and creative production sessions happen. It is also where Michael produces his own music, mixes client projects,

films YouTube videos, and develops new content.

The room includes pro monitors, the Apollo Twin interface, high quality microphones, multiple cameras, a full filming setup, and a large selection of instruments. Students learn surrounded by the real tools of a working musician and producer.

Private Lessons

Lessons in Studio B combine skill building with small creative moments. Students explore tone, sound shaping, mic technique, and simple recording ideas. They may hear their instrument through the Apollo Twin, try a different amp, or listen through the studio monitors. These short experiences build confidence and musical awareness.

Content Creation

Studio B is also available for separate recording and video sessions. Students can create polished performance videos,

song demos, or creative short form content. This gives them access to a real multimedia environment

and the experience of working with a professional producer and videographer.

Studio B is built for creativity, inspiration, and artistic growth.

Together

Both studios create a complete learning experience. Studio A offers the energy of a modern rehearsal room, while Studio B provides a focused creative space for lessons and content creation. Every part of East Van Music Lab is designed to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a deeper love of music.
